[The Post-Star] Robert Smith endorsed by Dems in Family Court judge race

I am very humbled to have received the endorsement of the Democratic Party for this incredibly important position. In Family Court it is important to remember that 'Every Family Matters'. Whether rich or poor, their family matters to them. Sometimes I believe we as a society lose sight of that. I believe that a good Family Court judge needs to keep that in mind when making decisions. The decisions that a Family Court Judge is required to make are not political, or about winning or losing or assigning blame. They are about providing long term solutions to difficult problems. As judge I will always be committed to finding those long term solutions, and will treat everyone who appears before me with dignity and respect. I thank all of you for your continued support and kind words.
