Wayne Stock IX; Elk's Cornhole Tournament & Family Breakfast; Adopt a Pet; HHHN Family Fun Day; Sticky Wicket Croquet Competition & Picnic; Mountain Days Festival.

Wanda and I had another fun filled weekend meeting with the voters of Warren County while volunteering and supporting many great causes and events.

Saturday we started our day watching our fellow Elks and others compete in the Annual Elks Cornhole tournament. Some great competition, a lot of laughs and the best BBQ I've ever eaten. Joe Girardi and Kevin Rundell out did themselves! Wanda and I just love being Elks and what they do for our youth and vets.

We then showed our support for several local organizations that do so much for our four legged friends. Some beautiful animals looking for a home. We even met "Hudson", the 2015 Hero Dogs Award recipient. A sad story with an incredibly uplifting ending.

After attending the HHHN Family Day, and speaking with some doctors and practitioners about Family Court, we headed up north to Wayne Stock IX to meet with the incredible people of North Creek and listen to some great music. We caught up with Wayne as he was adding some art work to his canvas. Wayne Bukovinsky's tragic motorcycle accident led to the first Wayne Stock in 2008. Out of this evolved The North Country Hardship Fund. Wayne and his wife Tammy started this organization to raise funds for others that have suffered a recent tragedy. They did this as a way to give back to the community that was there for Wayne when he was in need. Just awesome! The yearly festival that had raised over $155,000 over the past 8 years! What an inspiration. The music was awesome. Daryl Dasher left everyone wanting more. Best of luck to Daryl in making it in Nashville.
The highlight of our day was supporting our friend, co-worker and "family" member as he battles brain cancer. Kevin is an incredibly strong man who will undoubtably beat it!

Sunday we served breakfast with our fellow Elks at the Family Breakfast for the community. We then headed up north to Warrensburg and Stonycreek to support some local events. We learned a few things about croquet at the Sticky Wicket Croquet Competition & Picnic to benefit the Warrensburg Historical Society. Incredible chicken by Brian Engle!

We finished our weekend at the Mountain Days Festival in Stony Creek. What an amazing sight to watch the Lumberjacks compete in various events.
